Metro CDMX Faces Delays Despite No Rain

The Mexico City Metro began operations this Thursday with delays on at least four lines, despite the lack of rain. One of the affected is line 12, specifically from the terminal station Tláhuac, which is already completely full according to user reports.

A passenger expressed their frustration over the 30-minute wait on line 12, attributing the situation to reported failures by the Metro that have caused crowds at all stations. The official account of the Collective Transport System (STC) Metro indicated that the delays are due to the inspection of a train on line 12 and that service is expected to normalize soon.

Users on social media have shared videos and pointed out the high influx of passengers, which has caused delays of more than 25 minutes in waiting. As for other lines, line 3 reported delays on that Thursday morning, while on line B, trains were reported stopped at each station, causing delays and accumulation of passengers. On the other hand, on line 8, there was a warning about a large number of users from the Constitution of 1917 terminal, which has generated crowds at subsequent stations.

The Collective Transport System called on users to take precautions and properly allow door closures to avoid further delays in service.
